Chris Sly
Business Mentor
B. Ed, Dip Bus Mgt, M.I.M.C.
Director

Hi, I'm Chris, Managing Director of Business Pilot. I am married to Denise, and together we have three (now adult) children. We are based at Maroochydore on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland.
I enjoy traveling, water-sports and mucking around with traditional wooden boats. My passion is mentoring small business owners, assisting them to reach their full potential and make a difference in the world. I am active in the local church, and I believe that Christ has all the answers in these challenging times.
Business Pilot assists business leaders throughout Australia to accelerate their businesses with peace of mind through a mentored, strategic thinking process that results in an effective strategic business plan.
I bring 27 years of hands-on business experience into the strategic planning, marketing and mentoring processes. I have established, built, and sold a number of successful small businesses, and in the process discovered what it takes to succeed and achieve true prosperity. I hold a degree in Education, a Diploma of Business Management and I am a Member of the Institute of Management Consultants.
Since selling my manufacturing business in 2000, I have assisted many business leaders overcome barriers to growth, increase profits and get to the next level. My clients come from a broad range of enterprises including manufacturing, construction, health, tourism, hospitality and professional services.
I encourage you to take advantage of my offer of a complimentary 1 hour on-line coaching session where we will discover how you can achieve more by doing less through focusing on what you do best. We will develop a sharp action plan that will help you take the next step towards your growth and profit goals.

Steve Dunton
M.B.C.S., C.I.T.P.
Steve Dunton is a highly motivated professional who possesses an exceptional breadth and depth of knowledge in leadership, and the design and development of innovative technology solutions.
Educated at Imperial College in London, Steve joined Technosys, a Microsoft Solutions Provider who specialised in custom solutions for the banking and utility industries. Early in his career with Technosys, Steve demonstrated an ability to think creatively while explaining business and technical concepts to team members.
Steve rapidly moved through the ranks at Technosys, becoming a Solution Architect within two years and demonstrating both technical and consulting aptitude. Steve became a valuable member of the Technosys lecture team who provided speakers to Microsoft for events such as that Tech-Ed, Dev Days and the MSDN briefings.
Technosys was acquired in 1999 by ITnet and Steve moved seamlessly to the ITnet pre-sales and consultancy team, working for such clients as the Foreign and Commonwealth Office. It was in this role that Steve achieved his HMG security clearance, which he still holds.
Steve was headhunted by Techtonik to be their Chief Technologist in 2002, in which role he managed a team of 30 developers and managed the relationship with Microsoft globally, to develop SMS encryption solutions and a Service Provider Billing platform for Microsoft. During the time of Steve’s technical leadership of Techtonik the business grew to £165M in sales in a period of 26 months.
Following the financial collapse of a key client to Techtonik, Steve worked as an independent Technology specialist for a number of years providing innovative technical solutions to clients such as Williams F1, Royal Bank of Scotland and JCB. He also spent time focused on his local education community, by donating time to improve the technological environment in local state schools.
Since relocating to Australia with his wife and young daughter in November 2008, Steve has continued to provide specialist technical consultancy to organisations such as Mater Hospital and Gallagher Bassett, while taking the time to develop some of the intellectual property he has amassed over the years through the launch of a software product called 123educateme.
